Savage Saws Steeled for New Success in 120th Year with Headquarters Move, Management Re-Org
Relocation to new corporate and manufacturing headquarters, appointment of a new management team and upcoming celebration of 120 years of innovation and quality in the design and manufacture of industrial spindle saws have Savage Saws set for new levels of success in 2005.
The close of 2004 saw Savage fully settled into and operating at full capacity at its new corporate and manufacturing facilities in Rancocas, NJ, where sales for 1st Quarter 2005 have surpassed those of 2004.
The 2004 relocation of its operations from Knoxville, TN, home to Savage Saws since its founding in 1885, is to create synergy and enhanced efficiency between Savage Saws and several other Inductotherm Group companies. These include Consarc, maker of high-performance vacuum furnaces, with whom Savage Saws now shares a fully-equipped 45,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility. Spare parts, field service, factory rebuilds and warranty service are all now based in Rancocas, NJ, as well. The Inductotherm Group brings together 49 companies strategically located around the world. All share a focus on serving the metals and materials industry, and are leaders in their respective disciplines.
With the move, Savage Saws named a new management team. Chuck Corallo is the company's new President. Corallo joined Savage Saws in 1993 as Project Engineer. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Engineering. Brett Wenger is Savage Saws' new Product Line Manager, responsible for overseeing design development, market strategy, production and distribution. Previously, Wenger served as Sales Application Engineer for Consarc. Calvin Henry, Sales Manager of Savage Saws, continues in that role.
In 2005 Savage Saws will celebrate its 120th year of operation. From its early beginnings as a machine shop in Knoxville owned by William J. Savage, Savage Saws has grown and prospered to a product-driven enterprise specializing in the design, manufacture and service of world-class industrial spindle saws under a variety of brand names, each with its own custom qualities to serve every material and application.
Campbell saws continue to be the workhorse models and will be reintroduced in the first quarter of 2005 as Savage’s answer to the budget-conscience customer. Robert Stone machines are designed around the unique Robert Stone cutting head, and are highlighted by the aluminum plate saw models and vertical abrasive chop saw. Tysaman saws are the gantry style plate saws and Savage’s solution for the stone industry. The Savage product line will continue to be the engineered-to-order series, which includes saws to cut up to 30" diameter materials, plate saws cutting ferrous and non-ferrous materials, a new series of saws to cut small diameter material, as well as everything in between.
